Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., released the following statement following the President’s announcement that Osama bin Laden has been killed by American forces.
“When President Bush told the world that the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks would be found and brought to justice no one knew when that moment would come. Late last night we heard President Obama tell the world America has followed through on our promise to seek out and find Osama bin Laden.
“My prayers are with the families and loved ones of the thousands of people killed in the September 11 attacks and in the global war against terrorism. The death of Osama bin Laden cannot make up for the loss of life but it can bring hope that freedom will not die and America remains strong. I want to thank our military men and women who risk their lives to keep America safe."
