President Obama announced today his Administration’s plans to stop deporting certain illegal immigrants and allow them to work if they meet conditions determined by the Administration.
U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., said this is another example of this Administration’s blatant disregard for Congress, the law and any policy it doesn’t agree with.
“No matter where you come down on this immigration amnesty issue, the Administration’s continued flouting of the law, Congress and the Constitution seriously erodes the very foundation that supports our country. We have a separation of powers for a reason and when one branch repeatedly goes beyond its scope of authority we all suffer. I hope my colleagues in the Senate, especially those on the other side of the aisle, will stand up with me against these practices. The Administration's job is to enforce the law, not to disregard it.”
