U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., will be close to the numbers that affect America’s financial future as he announces his committee assignments for the next Congress. Enzi will continue as a senior member of the Senate Finance and Budget Committees, which are responsible for setting tax policy and drafting America’s budget. As one of two accountants in the Senate, Enzi said he is ready to help right America’s fiscal ship and get the country out of debt.
“America faces a lot of challenges in the coming years and these committee assignments will give Wyoming a voice in critical discussions,” said Enzi. “As we work to get our fiscal house in order, to promote pro-growth policies and cut red tape, to develop a long-term debt reduction plan, our focus should be on solving America’s problems together. We owe it to our businesses, our ranchers and farmers, our citizens. I’m looking forward to working with all my colleagues in the coming Congress and representing Wyoming values in Washington.”
Enzi remains on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee in the new Congress.
Enzi will continue to sit on the Small Business Committee where he will fight against regulations that impede economic growth and investment. He will also be joining the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
