Washington, D.C. – Residents of Western Wyoming have a new helper to solve problems they are having with the federal government thanks to a recently hired staff member for U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.
Reagen Bebout, a Wyoming native and former staff assistant for Enzi in Washington, is now working as Enzi’s field representative in Jackson and will be serving constituent needs in Teton, Sweetwater, Sublette, Uinta and Lincoln Counties.
“I truly enjoy helping people and am very happy to be working with Senator Enzi and Diana again,” Bebout said. “I’m so pleased to be working here as a part of the Western Wyoming community.”
Bebout earned a bachelor’s in business management from the University of Wyoming and served as a staff assistant in Enzi’s Washington office from 2004 to 2005. Her new job entails holding office hours for Senator Enzi that rotate between the five counties in her jurisdiction. Other responsibilities include listening to constituent concerns at meetings and handling individual casework for constituents who have experienced problems with the federal government ranging from problems with a social security check to a dispute about grazing leases. As a field representative, Bebout keeps an eye on local issues and concerns and is a link between constituents, Senator Enzi and the federal government.
“Reagen’s previous experience with my office in serving the people of our state coupled with her Wyoming roots make her an excellent fit for the western Wyoming field representative position,” Enzi said.
Bebout fills the field representative position previously held by Lyn Shanaghy, who served the people of Western Wyoming as an employee of the U.S. Senate for more than 20 years and retired in July.
Bebout is originally from Riverton and is the daughter of Eli and Lorraine Bebout. Her office is located in Jackson at 1110 Maple Way, Suite G, and her phone number is 739-9507.
