Medicine Bow Fuel & Power, LLC, a subsidiary of DKRW Advanced Fuels LLC, has reached an agreement to sell 100 percent of the ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel to Sinclair Oil. Production of that fuel is slated to come from its planned coal-to-liquids facility in the Medicine Bow/Hanna area of Wyoming. U.S. Senator Mike Enzi is pleased with the progress.
"If we are serious about finding alternatives to foreign energy sources, coal-to-liquids projects should be front and center in our efforts. Today’s agreement is a step in the right direction to move forward with an important project in my home state that could bring jobs to the towns of Medicine Bow and Hanna." U.S. Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) said.
"Agreements like this make clear that private industry is serious about developing coal-to-liquids technologies in Wyoming. Private industry and the federal government should work together to send this technology from the drawing board to the construction phase."
"The use of coal-to-liquids technologies also provides the potential to expand usage of Wyoming’s coal reserves. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to continue pushing for the advancement of coal-to-liquids projects in the 110th Congress," Enzi said.
