Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), Ranking Member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, discussed health care reform on the nationally syndicated Jason Lewis Show on Tuesday, June 30 with former Senator Rod Grams.

The senator emphasized the importance of taking time to get health care reform “done right” instead of rushing to meet arbitrary deadlines. He also discussed the pitfalls of a government-run health care system, the wasteful spending in the majority’s health care reform bill, and trillion-dollar price tag currently attached to the proposed bill.

Enzi is the Senate’s only accountant and the only senator on all three primary committees dealing with health care reform, the Budget Committee, the Finance Committee and the HELP Committee. The senator offered insight on how to effectively improve health care while keeping costs down and ensuring quality health care for Americans.
