Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., paid tribute to the nation's veterans today and thanked them for their sacrifices so others might be free.

"Veterans Day is a day Americans come together to pay a heartfelt tribute to our veterans and thank them for being our nation's heroes. This day symbolizes and gives all Americans a chance to outwardly thank those that have stood tall before us, many of which paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

"At the end of each day many of us may wonder if we have made a positive difference in the world around us. Our nation's veterans do not have that problem. The differences they have made are apparent all around us. They are reflected through our Constitution and our love for freedom and humanity.

"We owe our nation's veterans a great debt of gratitude and their sacrifices should never be taken for granted. I commend the efforts of all our troops and wish them safely home."
