As a country of innovators, U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., said the federal government should encourage small businesses in the energy sector, not stifle them. Speaking at a Small Business Committee hearing examining obstacles and opportunities for small businesses engaged in energy production, Enzi emphasized that the U.S. could accomplish great energy innovation across all energy sectors, including coal, but innovation can’t happen if the government shuts down the industry.
