Washington, D.C. -- From seniors to students, Wyoming U.S. Senator Mike Enzi is scheduled to meet with the Newcastle community Monday, Nov. 2.
Enzi will tour the new addition to Michaels Senior Center at about 11:30 a.m. Monday before joining seniors for lunch. Starting at about 1:30 p.m. he will attend some of Newcastle Middle School teacher Dan Bollin's classes.
"Mr. Bollin said he wanted his students to meet their elected officials and get firsthand experience of how their government works. I'm pleased to be able to help," said Enzi. "I enjoy visiting with the students. I've made it a point to visit as many schools as possible and I've found the visits are a two-way street. The kids and I learn a lot from each other."
Monday evening Enzi will be the guest speaker at the Newcastle Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet being held at the Old Mill. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. with dinner starting at 7 p.m.
